It’s Friday and time for the nearly patented brandivate beverage of the week! While summer officially starts tomorrow, the near triple degree temperatures today screams for a refreshing drink, which is why we are enjoying a Blackberry Vanilla Fizz. The full recipe (which is a collaboration between brandivate Managing Partners Kelsey Cunningham and Bill Petrie) is below but it contains homemade vanilla vodka (one bottle Pickers vodka + one split vanilla bean + one week = vanilla vodka), fresh blackberries, fresh lime juice, a smidge of simple syrup, and bubly blackberry sparkling water! It’s a light, invigorating beverage and perfect for a hot summer afternoon.

Blackberry Vanilla Fizz

Ingredients

• 2 oz. Vanilla Vodka

• 5 fresh blackberries

• ½ oz. simple syrup

• ½ oz. fresh lime juice

• Blackberry sparkling water

• 1 fresh mint leaf

• Fresh mint leaves and blackberries for garnish

Directions

In a mixing glass add the vodka, simple syrup, lime juice, 5 blackberries, one mint leaf and muddle. Pour mixture into an old-fashioned glass with one large ice cube. Top with blackberry sparkling water and garnish with a single folded mint leaf and a blackberry on a toothpick.
