The Pink Whitney
It's that coveted time of the week folks - we bring to you another edition of the brandivate beverage of the week!
Now, some weeks our drinks are about the recipes, sometimes it is about the drinking vessel and other times it is about the branding which is precisely what we are bringing to you today. With that said, this branding has us a bit confused. Inspired by the favorite drink of former NHL hockey player and podcast host of "Spittin' Chiclets", Ryan Whitney, this label leaves a lot to be desired. But here's the kicker - this stuff is good, very good, and we are certainly glad we inquired about it. An adult pink lemonade? Yes please!
Go ahead, scoop you up a bottle of Pink Whitney. You'll be glad you did.
Ingredients
-
Pink Whitney New Amsterdam Vodka
-
Lemon Juice
-
Lemon Wheel for garnish
-
Large Ice Cube
Directions
Place a large single cube into a vessel of your choosing, pour in 3 ounces of Pink Whitney New Amsterdam Vodka, squeeze in a bit of lemon juice and garnish with a freshly sliced lemon wheel. Enjoy!

New York Sour
It’s Friday afternoon at 3:30 PM CDT so you know what that means: time for the one and only brandivate beverage of the week! This week we are taking a trip back in time where this drink – the New York Sour – was a favorite of those “in the know” during Prohibition. Before we invite you to join us at the speakeasy, let’s take a look at that amazing drinking vessel. The “Gratitude Glass” – a 14 oz. Deluxe Double Old Fashioned Glass (#918 with 2 location etch) from our good friends at J.Charles – is not only gorgeous, but the deep etch decoration provides an opportunity to express thanks on the outside of the glass while showcasing a logo in a classy, subtle way at the bottom of the glass. Simply perfect when your clients want a refill and you can even see the logo with a drink in the glass!
As for the beverage, this cocktail was a New York Prohibition-era favorite, mainly because the lemon juice, sugar, and wine camouflaged and successfully balanced he bad watered-down whiskey in those days. Made with much better ingredients, the cocktail is a masterpiece of complex flavors and mouthfeel has a short crisp citrus burst followed by warm red wine tannins.

Pickle Back Shot
It's Friday following a long and productive week at the PPAI Expo and we couldn't be more excited to dote on our good pals over at Bel Promo today as they bring to you our brandivate beverage of the week! We are in love with these little 2 oz. ARC Square Shot Glasses (Item #A19188) adorned with an imprint you can see for miles. Crisp, clean, bold. We opted for a clear bottom, but this item is available in six other colors to accent any artwork you wish to showcase!
So, what are we swigging today? Glad you asked! We've got a classic pairing and a duo sure to kick your Friday up a notch. This, friends, is the greatness that is the Pickleback shot! Never heard of such a thing? Well, apparently the brine in pickle juice is an incredibly effective chaser as it instantly neutralizes the burn of any alcohol. A pro tip for the shot lovers out there!
The road to enjoying this pair couldn't be more simple.
Ingredients
-
2 oz. Jameson or any Whiskey you so fancy
-
2 oz. Pickle Juice
-
1 Mini Pickle
Instructions:
Pour the whiskey into one of those gorgeous Bel Promo ARC Square Shot Glasses and the pickle juice in to the other. Shoot the whiskey followed immediately by the pickle juice and take a wee bite of that garnish and get back to the party!

It’s the first full week of the year and we are most certainly ready for the brandivate beverage of the week! Today we are celebrating the Orange Bowl victory by Bill Petrie’s Texas A&M Aggies by enjoying Yuengling Hershey’s Chocolate Porter. This partnership between America’s oldest brewery and America’s most iconic chocolate has created a fresh take on Yuengling’s 200-year-old Dark Brewed Porter. While it’s thinner than most porters, both the aroma and flavor are bold with cocoa without being overly sweet. Not a bad way to toast a great football team and the end of the week!
