The road to success is long and fraught with missteps, stumbles, and changes in direction along the way. This road is also rewarding in ways that are difficult to express: self-awareness, grit, pride, and a sense of accomplishment.
Conversely, the road to failure is short, easy and littered with excuses sprinkled with a hint of jealousy such as:
"I was never really given a chance."
"The odds were against me."
"I’m not part of the ‘established’ club."
"Some people have it so easy."
There are many roads and it’s up to each one of us to choose the one that fits best. Beware the short roads – while they might be appealing and are easy in the short term, they rarely lead to anywhere meaningful.
