Many promotional products professionals attended the largest industry trade show in Las Vegas last week: the PPAI Expo. Miles were walked, relationships were renewed, new contacts were made, ideas were shared, education was received, and good times were had.
So, now what?
How are you going to leverage your experiences in Las Vegas (well, your business experiences) to add value to your clients beyond decorated merchandise? What changes need to be made in order to ensure you reach your goals? How will you apply the knowledge you gained so that you and your company can truly stand out in a crowded marketplace?
Before you forget all the things you learned and experienced during the show, it’s critical you write the lessons from the week to begin to apply them to your business:
What is your plan for each of your clients in 2015?
What did you learn at the Expo that will allow you add value to both your clients and your business?
What is your plan to follow up with the connections you made during the week?
Who did you meet that inspired you and how will you continue to learn from them?
Did you meet anyone that you can mentor to help our industry grow?
By writing these (and other) thoughts down, it will keep your mind fresh with the different experiences from the show. The PPAI Expo can either serve as a launching pad for your best year yet or as merely a speedbump to the same results you’ve always had. The choice is yours.
