It’s the Friday in the middle of a long weekend, so you know it’s time for the original brandivate beverage of the week! As the sun sets on Thanksgiving and gives way to the holiday season, there’s no better way to greet the upcoming festivities then with Holiday Cheer from the good folks at Shiner. Freshly wrapped for the season, this old-world dunkelweizen (dark wheat) beer brewed with Texas peaches and roasted pecans. If you’re looking for the taste of Christmas in a convenient 12-ounce container, there’s no need to look any further than this amazing brew.

the Bitter lime.jpg

Welcome back to our weekly beverage date! We have for you a souped-up version of a simple cocktail that we like to call "The Bitter Lime." Bartenders beware...this is a boozy doozy! Sip at your own discretion.

The Bitter Lime Recipe

  • 3.5 oz. of Kettle One or any other Vodka you so fancy

  • 2 limes juiced

  • 3-4 dashes of chili bitters (we recommend the Hella Cocktail variety)

  • Tajin to rim your glass

  • Large ice cube (the little ones just won't do here)

Rim a small rocks glass with lime juice and tajin. Place large ice cube in said glass and combine ingredients. Stir, SIP and enjoy!

How are each of you gaining your Thanksgiving recipe inspiration on this fine Friday afternoon? #bbotw

ole smoky apple pie ginger cocktail

It’s Friday at 3:30 and time for the original way to celebrate the beginning of the weekend: the brandivate beverage of the week! As the days are getting shorter and the temperatures are dropping, we are enjoying a decidedly fall libation by the fire as dusk washes over the day. Let’s face it, there’s nothing more autumnal than the combination of apples, cinnamon, ginger, and moonshine from deep in the hollers of Tennessee. To be sure, the Apple Pie Ginger Moonshine Cocktail from the Ole Smoky warms the soul with the taste of baked apple pie with ginger that results in a spicy, fruity cocktail that goes down very easy.

Looking great by the fire and next to the amazing bar mat (#5190) from Miles Wadsworth and the good strongs over at Logo Mats, this is a great drink when you don’t want to miss one second of the sunset - simply pour in a glass over ice, garnish with a cinnamon stick and apple wedge, and enjoy! Fair warning as this cocktail in a can clocks in at a rebellious 9% ABV, so you might want to sip as to stay awake for festivities of the night!

wine...yummy wine

Happy Friday afternoon, brandivate fans! We have a special edition of #bbotw today as we sip from this beautifully branded wine stem from the lovelies over at Bel Promo. Their Chef & Sommelier series is a favorite of ours and we find this particular one to be quite versatile as it can easily be used for red , white or blush. If you're on the prowl to place an order for these gorgeous glasses you'll be using item AL9370 - you and your clients will wowed by their laser engraving as well!  Sleek, sophisticated, and stylish!

Now, onto the contents of this fine vessel...we have a 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon by McClean Vineyards out of Paso Robles, CA today. A few reasons why we swooned for this:

  • The label is gorgeous with birds flying out of a swaying tree all the way up through the neck of the bottle. So pretty!

  • The cork is unique carrying the artwork from the outside of the bottle on in. Nice touch!

  • The wine itself is smooth and concentrated with nice, subtle tannins and a lingering finish. Delicious!

  • The dedication written on the backside. This is why we truly fell in love. It reads as follows:

"We once knew a girl with a rather peculiar disposition and quite an adventurous spirit. She had great ambition, and we were sure that if she were given the chance, she could soar off to places of grandeur. This wine is for her."

Now, how are you wining down from this election week? #bbotw
